Statement of Faith

Dallas School of Theology is committed to the authority of God’s Word and to historic evangelical Christian doctrine.
The following Statement of Faith expresses the biblical truths that form the foundation of our teaching, ministry, and Christian life.

We Believe

  1. The Holy Scriptures
    We believe in the verbal inspiration and divine authority of the Holy Bible as the infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice.
  2. The Trinity
    We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  3. The Lord Jesus Christ
    We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, buried, raised bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor.
  4. Human Sinfulness
    We believe that all people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Repentance is commanded by God and is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
  5. Salvation
    We believe that justification, regeneration, and the new birth are received through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.
  6. Sanctification
    We believe in sanctification following the new birth through faith in the blood of Christ, obedience to God’s Word, and the work of the Holy Spirit.
  7. Holy Living
    We believe that holiness is God’s standard of living for His people.
  8. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
    We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit subsequent to the new birth and a cleansed heart.
  9. Speaking in Tongues
    We believe that speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
  10. Water Baptism
    We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for all who have repented and believed.
  11. Divine Healing
    We believe that divine healing is provided through the atonement of Jesus Christ.
  12. The Ordinances
    We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper and the washing of the saints’ feet according to the teachings of Scripture.
  13. The Second Coming of Christ
    We believe in the premillennial return of Jesus Christ: first, to resurrect the righteous dead and catch away the living saints; second, to reign on the earth for one thousand years.
  14. Resurrection and Eternal Destiny
    We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

Our Commitment

Every course, ministry, and educational program at Dallas School of Theology is rooted in the authority of Scripture, centered on the Lord Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and dedicated to equipping believers to fulfill the Great Commission.
